Photo Exhibition for Siriraj Hospital and the Rockefeller Foundation

How I got this job.......


Fern ( my oldest sister ) has asked me to help put together a part of a photo exhibition for the Siriraj Hospital , in Bangkok. The hospital has asked the Rockefeller Foundation, Thailand, where my sister works at, to put together a photo exhibit showing the history of the hospital and the foundation.

The relationship between The Rockefeller Foundation and Siriraj Hospital dates back to the 1920's when Prince Mahidol ( the son of King Rama 5 ), who was studying at Harvard at the time,met John D. Rockefeller, the founder of the Rockefeller Foundation and negotiated an agreement with the foundation on assistance for medical and nursing education in Thailand.

From then, the RF helped support and funded the hospital ( then a medical school )in their medical training, oversees education and medical buildings.

So, what now?

We had a meeting this morning to discuss what we need to do and about timelines etc.

The space consists of four 62.5 x 95 cm boards.

and I've been shown all the available photographs for this exhibit but not sent the actual files yet

Also, this hospital is where the king is currently admitted and there will be an opening ceremony attended by the prince and princesses...uh....so that means...they're going to see this exhibition

So...me...from no work...to...photo exhibits for the Rockefeller Foundation visited by Royalty....

that's a little frightening !
